The monument of Józef Piłsudski in Nysa was erected in 2018, as part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. The 2.5-ton monument stood in the place where a monument depicting Frederick the Great was formerly located. The author of the 4-meter-high sculpture is Professor Marian Molenda. It was cast in Opole at the Art Odlew plant of Wiktor, Grzegorz, and Piotr Halupczok. The Nysa monument is modeled on the first monument of Józef Piłsudski by Apolinary Głowiński, unveiled in Tarnopol in 1935, shortly after the Marshal's death. Practical information: The facility is generally accessible. Free parking near the ruins of the former Leśna hotel, on Parkowa Street or Jana Pawła II Avenue.
