The water tower in Kluczbork is the tower of the Kraków Gate, which was rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century. Currently, it is one of the most characteristic symbols of the town.
The tower was built of bricks and has a high plinth made of fieldstones.
During the reconstruction supervised by the master bricklayer George Lederer, the facility dating from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries gained a new two-stage tented roof.
At the end of the 13th century, a ducal manor existed in the place where the tower is currently located. The first brick castle was probably built at the end of the 14th century. In the 18th century, it was rebuilt into the administrative seat of the Kluczbork imperial estates, and in the 20th century, it was demolished.
