The Independent Public Care and Treatment Facility (SP ZOL) on Parkowa Street in Głuchołazy is located in the "Sanitas" villa. The building was erected at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to establish the Upper Silesian Provincial Clinic for Tuberculosis Patients. Over the years, it was transformed into the State Sanatorium for Pulmonary Patients, and after World War II, it was renamed the Anti-Tuberculosis Sanatorium for employees of the Polish State Railways. In addition to rooms for patients, the sanatorium housed a restaurant, bowling alleys, and a relaxation space. Concerts and sports events were organized for the patients. Practical information: The facility is open to visitors by prior telephone arrangement: Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, tel. 516 120 973. Paid admission. Sightseeing time: 1 hour. Paid parking directly below the facility.
