The Koźle Lock is part of a barrage on the Oder river located in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The lock was built in 1830 as one of the first five stone structures of this type on the stretch from Chałupki to the mouth of the Nysa Kłodzka river. The lock is operated manually, by closing and opening the gates using wooden levers. The structure was used in particular for the needs of freight and postal barges. Currently, in the summer months, the "Silesia" cruise ship passes through it as part of three-hour cruises on the Gliwice Canal. The lock can also be viewed from the Reverend Ludwik Rutyna walking promenade stretching along the Oder.
