The ruins of the windmill in Gogolin are relics of a Dutch-type windmill located on Juliusza Ligonia Street. It belongs to the few preserved examples of industrial construction of this type in Opole Silesia. The facility was built of Triassic limestone in the 19th century. It has three stories, with small windows on three sides. Currently, the structure has no roof, which is why it is sometimes mistaken for a lime burning kiln. The facility is located on a private, fenced plot and is not in use. Practical information: Sightseeing by prior arrangement: tel. 77 421 40 34, 501 256 378, e-mail: ug@murow.pl Free admission. Sightseeing time: 1.5 hours. Free parking spaces on Grabicka Street (by the botanical garden).
